Problem
My wireless router is asking me if I want to Broadcast my SSID? Should I enable it?

Solution
It's really up to you as to whether or not the SSID should be broadcast. By broadcasting the SSID, it's very easy for anyone to identify the name of your network and provide this piece of information about connecting to your network. By not broadcasting the SSID you require that the user connecting to your network know exactly what the SSID is before they can attach to the network. This provides an added layer of security for your network. You should never rely on the SSID to provide complete network security and you should carefully consider enabling WEP encryption.
