Configuring Microsoft Outlook Express to access e-mail account

Can't configure Microsoft Outlook Express to use Sixbyte-hosted e-mail account

1. Open Outlook Express
2. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts...
3. Click on the Mail tab
4. Click on the Add button to display a menu
5. Select Mail... to open the Internet Connection Wizard
6. In the Internet Connection Wizard window:
Type your name in the Display name: field
Click the Next > button
Type your e-mail address in the E-mail address: field
Click the Next > button
From the My incoming mail server menu, select POP3
In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server: field, enter the name of your mail server.
Your mail server's name is: clientmail.sixbyte.net
Enter the name of your mail server again in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: field
Click the Next > button
In the Account name: field:, type your e-mail address
Type the password to your e-mail account in the Password: field
Make sure that the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) checkbox is UNCHECKED
Click the Next > button
Click the Finish button
7. Left-click once on the newly created account so that it is highlighted in blue.
8. Click the Properties button
9. Click on the Servers tab
10. In the Servers tab:
Check the My server requires authentication checkbox
Click on the Settings... button
11. In the Outgoing Mail Server window:
Make sure that the Use same settings as my incoming mail server option is selected
Click the OK button to close the Outgoing Mail Server window
12. Click the OK button to close the account Properties window
13. Click the Close button to close the Internet Accounts window
Optional: Test Outlook Express to see if it is properly configured:
14. Click the Create Mail button
15. Type your e-mail address in the To: field
16. Type a subject in the Subject: field
17. Type a short message in the large text area
18. Click the Send button to send the message
19. Click the Send/Recv button to retrieve your test e-mail
20. Check your inbox to see if you have received your test message
21. If you had no errors sending or receiving your message, Outlook Express is properly configured.
